Dutch Competition

Ajax became 2nd (behind Volharding III) in the second division of the Amsterdam Soccer Association.

Beker

Ajax does not participate in the Dutch Cup competition, it is not yet a member of the Dutch Soccer Association.

Foundation

The soccer club Oud Nieuwer Amstel (ONA) that played in Willemspark spoke, in person of president Stempel, with Swift (that played on the Const. Huygenstraat) to combine their clubs. Not everyone from Swift was interested by on March 18, 1900 some players of Swift came together with the core of ONA in the Oude Kerseboom in the Kalverstraat and decided to found the new club AFC Ajax. The first season Ajax played at the Middenweg, but after one season moved to the Laanweg.

Gouden Kruis

This season the Amsterdam Soccer Association introduced the matches for the Gouden Kruis (Golden Cross). The idea was that each year from end October the 8 best clubs of Amsterdam and direct surroundings would play matches via a knock out competition for the Gouden Kruis .

General Meeting

During the general meeting Ajax decided to discharge Simon a. Verrede because he did not meet his required financial contribution.
