FOX Eredivisie TV Income Distribution 2015-16
04/26/2015
The Eredivisie season has almost finished, so time to look ahead to the tentative TV Income Distribution for the coming season. Tentative because the standings are not yet final and because it is not yet known which clubs will attain the rights to play in the eredivisie via the promotion relegation matches. For now we have assumed besides Dordrecht no club will relegate, so also besides NEC no club will promote. We do not have any official confirmation but it seems the estimate of 64.5 million for the total to be distributed amount for the current season was on the low side and based on other media we assume that last season the total was 67 million and the total for the coming season will be 72 million.
Although Ajax had to leave the title to PSV they are still ahead in the standing for the TV Income Distribution, because this standing is determined based on the eredivisie results of the past 10 seasons. Ajax will earn 9.3 million and PSV follows with 8.4 million. In comparison to last season Feyenoord surpassed FC Twente and will earn significantly more with 7.4 million. Vitesse also surpassed Utrecht and NAC is down a few places so that, even if they are able to stay in the Eredivisie, they will take in significantly less money. Because NEC always in the mid of the table before they relegated they will take 13th spot after their promotion and with 2.1 million make significantly more money than some clubs that have only recently joined the Eredivisie.
